8:23 AM Mar 16th
You know it’s cold outside when you can see your breath inside your car. It’s definitely a chilly morning.
8:47 AM Mar 16th
Just got an email sent to the entire office. Apparently the fire alarms are being tested today. If we hear them we aren’t supposed to react.
8:48 AM Mar 16th
Seems like a risky kind of setup…
9:01 AM Mar 16th
There it went. A brief, startling burst of the bell. The strange thing is that I thought I saw a flash of flames behind me when I heard it.
9:05 AM Mar 16th
Another test, and I swear I saw another flash of flickering orange in my peripheral vision. I even felt a little burst of heat.

Are there any psychologists following me? Is this a known phenomenon?

What do you call the type of clouds that pile up into a tower in the middle of the sky? They’re big and dark.
11:57 AM
Ok, these don’t look like REGULAR cumulonimbus. These ones are taller and have a red glow around the edges. And something shiny inside.
11:58 AM
Hmm, @radicalans may be right. Could be a mushroom cloud. It’s starting to go away now.
12:09 PM
Perhaps coincidentally, there was a brief but powerful windstorm about half an hour ago.
12:16 PM
I heard they were working on some new concept vehicles, but the thing that just pulled up in the parking looks *pretty* conceptual.
12:17 PM
This is so cool. I get to wear a HazMat suit!

JANUARY 28, 2009
7:30 AM
The sun is oppressively hot this morning, a marked change from the heavy clouds of the past week. Perhaps our luck has turned.
7:54 AM
Well this is a poor start to the day. Some of our spelunking equipment was stolen overnight. Only three of us will be able to go in now.
8:21 AM
Kevin and I are going in, with Jose providing support. It’s hard to dust off artifacts he you have to carry your own tools and lights!
8:44 AM
Nothing seems to have been disturbed in the dig so far. Hopefully the equipment thieves didn’t come down here at all.
9:11 AM
I get enough reception in these caves for texting, but not enough to make an actual call. I feel kind of cut off from the world.
9:15 AM
We’re almost at the final chamber. I get no reception at all in there. No further signs of theft or vandalism yet, though.
10:27 AM
This is a catastrophe! A dangerous artifact has been pilfered from our dig by one of the other archaeologists! Look for a man with a mullet. Read the rest of this entry…

8:00 AM
It’s a foggy morning. Not a pea soup fog–more like cream of broccoli.
8:16 AM
Drive to work was smooth. The few other cars on the road were going the other way.
8:17 AM
The lights are on at the office but there’s no one here. Fine by me. I like it quiet.
9:03 AM
The water fountain by the bathroom smells like iron today. I’m not drinking out of that.
10:02 AM
Still haven’t seen anyone else at the office today. I’ll see if they’re at coffee now.
10:22 AM
No one in the breakroom either. Is there a holiday i don’t know about?
12:04 PM
Have you ever played the game where you see how long you can hold your poop in?
12:05 PM
Because I am about to lose that game hardcore. Read the rest of this entry…
