A few housekeeping items today:

First, I’m no longer going to doing a new video every week. Instead, I’ll just be making videos whenever I feel like making one. So there may be more than one per week, or there may be two or three weeks in between them. It depends how much time I have and what kind of inspiration I get. The reason for this is that I feel like I’ve been forcing some of the videos, and they haven’t really been well-made or particularly entertaining. So in the interest of quality over quantity, I’ve decided not to force myself to make one when I have nothing to make one about.

Second, I recently created a second Twitter account. I’ve been using @thephatbunny for quite a while, and I’ve done a lot of interesting things with that account, including #nanofic and a handful of TwitFics. I’ve noticed that there is a bit of separation, however, between people who follow me for entertainment, and people who follow me so they can know what I’m doing on a day-to-day basis.

That’s why I created @tsevenhuysen. I’ll be using this account as more a microblog, just talking about day-to-day stuff and saying what I’m doing and so on. My original account will still be used for general networking and conversations, for creative things like #NanoFic and #TodaysNews, and for promoting this website, as my writing blog. There may even be more TwitFics at some point.

What this means is that people who aren’t interested in #NanoFic or TwitFics can just follow @tsevenhuysen, while people who don’t care about my daily life but do want to read my writing and chat with me can follow @thephatbunny. If people are really interested in what I have to say, they can follow both.

Hopefully this makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions or comments on this setup.

I’ve got a couple of things to share.

First, I uploaded a video to YouTube this morning. I’ll be posting it here later today, but for now you can see it on YouTube. This video is exciting for two reasons. First, it’s in HD! I bought a new version of my editing software because it supports the HD files my video camera shoots in, and with YouTube’s recently added support for 1280×720 HD video, that means I can offer high-def content for you to view for videos that I make from now on.

The second reason this video is exciting is because in it I announce my newest project, which you can find at www.fiftywordstories.com (or www.fiftywordsaday.com). I’m going to be posting a new, original fifty-word story to this site every day for the next year, starting February 22, 2009.

Check the site out and follow along as the stories start flowing.

This evening, I challenged Twitter to the Silly Photos Game. I asked people to challenge me with different things to take pictures of myself doing, and I got some great ideas.

To see the pictures I took, head over to my Flickr account and look at the Silly Photo Game photo set.

It’s official! Tim has won the Goblet Challenge–and handily!

Thank you to everyone who voted by watching the “Vote” videos. Special thanks to everyone who voted for me, because now the goblet is irrevocably mine! And that goblet is kick-awesome.

I know, I know, I’m a bit of a late adopter sometimes. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t check out my new Twitter account!

Follow the minutia of my life. It’s like Facebook status updates, but more accessible and stuff!
